Lost in the Wind

I put my time and energy into what was real to me-
You told me you love me and I thought it would show-
Just goes to show how funny love goes.
Kept me around for show like I am some random whoe
No matter how hard you try someone is bound to cry from taking the blow,
Love is about taking chances you don’t know which way to go.

I lost my heart in the wind.
Thought the pain and misery would never come to an end.
First we were lovers and then we became friends.
That was the mistake I made from the beginning.

Arguing and stressing to make up with sex-
Sex never is a resolution -
It last long enough to set yourself up for execution-
Someone had to lose that was the only solution-
My mind was lost inside of this being -
Failing to believe just what my eyes were seeing.
